Wrangling the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

After a life of bull riding, travelling and fast women, Gavin is retired from the sport but still looking to stay active in the industry. He takes a job working at Circle B Ranch in a small Texas town. Little did he know that he would be bumping into the sexy Maize again. His one night stand who ghosted him the next morning and who he could not stop thinking about.
Maize is horrified and embarrassed that she indulged in a one night stand. She’s looking for The One and thinks that Gavin can’t offer her what she’s looking for. Little did she realise how persistent Gavin can be...

I didn’t like Maize for the first half of the book. When she realised that Gavin was the new horse trainer she not only refused to acknowledge him but she was blatantly rude to him, which is weird considering that she also would not admit that they had slept together and kept insisting that they had never met before! If she wanted to play that route, she could just politely act like she was meeting him for the first time (which is also silly but not as bad as being a complete bitch towards him for no reason). Bearing in mind that SHE ran out on HIM after their one night stand so I can’t even use the excuse of him bailing the morning after as to why she’s acting so awful towards him.
In real life I would tell her to grow up and for him to find someone more mature to date cos there’s no way I would expect someone to put up with that behaviour!

Okay rant over
