A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin

4.0

These books were a whole journey and took me a lot longer than I thought they would to get through. Overall, George R.R. Weaves a masterful narrative managing to get rich detail and character development into a large cast all without somehow compromising the overarching story taking place in Westeros and beyond. Even the characters I hated I loved to hate and was honestly surprised that Jaime Lannister, my least favourite character, managed to claw his way into one of my favourites of all time. Martin’s writing is incredible and Ill be patiently waiting for the next installment however long that will take.
