Beneath the bright lights of Paris exists an underground labyrinth of tunnels, home to the bones of 6 million dead. Parts are tourist attractions but most are unexplored, crumbling and dangerous, a playground for the cataphiles, amateur thrill seekers, to explore. A group of friends decide to explore the tunnels when a video camera is found and meet the monsters that stalk below.

This was a fun horror thriller, the catacombs dark and claustrophobic, the rooms they find a fascinating history of the world below. Will is an American journalist, Daniele his French friend, Rob her brother in law and Pascal, their guide. They encounter something that has been living in the darkness since the Second World War and are soon fighting for their lives.

I really enjoyed their tour of the catacombs and the story, though predictable, was fast paced and a good read.
