Graphic: Misogyny
Moderate: Child abuse and Stalking
Minor: Rape and Xenophobia
Part of the book's theme is dealing with misogyny, so it's sprinkled all over the book, but with the intent to teach against it. Two of the main characters, including a child are stalked by several men who attempt to enter their home in a way that was realistic enough to probably be triggering. Also, nothing graphic, but there are allusions to the child having been raped (possible incest) and badly burned, since part of the theme is overcoming trauma and regaining one's freedom slash life. This would probably also be triggering to some people, but it is dealt with respectfully by Le Guin. So overall positive-themed book, but definitely dark too.
