This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens

Minnie Cooper and Quinn Hamilton were born at the same hospital on the same day — just after midnight on New Year's Day — in 1990. And Minnie blames Quinn for her streak of bad luck on her birthday. So this is kind of an enemies to lovers, second chance romance.

I loved Minnie and thought she was a great character, but I think this book would’ve benefitted from a dual POV. I wanted to get to know Quinn more, and maybe more of his perspective would’ve filled in some timeline jumps. I enjoyed the flashbacks to their missed connections throughout the years, but just wanted more. Minnie has great character development, but there is less focus on the romance, and their connection, in my opinion.

I loved the supporting cast of characters, especially Leila and the moms. The relationship that developed between the moms was such a delightful bonus to the story. There are a lot of sweet and funny moments throughout the book, and overall I really enjoyed it.
