First of all it was very slow in the beginning, but I kept going because I had nothing else to read. Therefor I was reminded it is neither the pace or the page count which matters, it’s the content (cliché).
The book was filled with rich characters and beautiful stories. Based on a real history!!! So cool, this book might have made me want to become a historian. And I really want to visit the Chief Vann house if I ever go to Turtle Island.
Not my genre but will definitely read more of similar type. And I love that this was fiction based on real stories, makes the history so much more emotionally deep and relatable.
It’s kind of embarrassing to write these reviews on here, but it’s the easiest place for me to store my thoughts so bear with me :D Btw read this 100% if you love dark mysteries and historical books! Overall not the best writing but personally this story stuck.
