Cash by Garrett Leigh
4.0
I read this as part of the box set with Lucky and Jude. Cash is the second of the trilogy.
In brief: Cash is a mechanic, he's introduced in Lucky as Lucky's workmate and eventual landlord. When he meets Rae in a pub in London, it's one of the hottest nights of his life and they both think that's it, only for them to come together as Rae is living the life that Cash walked away from and tried to put behind him.
First off, I don't know too much about the hunt saboteur life but I have no reason to doubt the veracity of the author's research. I don't agree with fox hunting and the lengths the hunters go to just to hunt and kill innocent animals. Not going into it further than that. This is more about Cash and Rae and the life Rae is living, and Cash has lived.
I didn't feel as connected to Cash and Rae as I did to Lucky and Dom but it's still a good story and I felt the chemistry between them and rooted for them to get their HEA. I loved that Rae was so staunch in his beliefs and willing to stand up for what he believed in, and Cash was too even though he'd left that life behind and tried to start over. They were a good fit together and I liked reading their story and sharing in it.
