I really enjoyed the setup and beginning, and I thought it was well-written and intriguing. However, this didn't last throughout the book, especially since the ending lacked interest. I had already pictured different endings and possibilities on how this story could resolve itself but it fell completely flat for me, unfortunately. I liked the tension that was being built throughout the most part of the first half but then, again, I didn't like the ending. I would have loved for the stalker to be more present or somehow more of a plot twist because for me it seemed predictable.

We want so badly to be happy – to live the kinds of lives that we always hoped we’d live – that we give gifts to ourselves by remembering things not as they were, but as we wish they were. (2%)
