Determined: A Science of Life Without Free Will by Robert M. Sapolsky

4.0

This wasn’t an easy read by any means, and I had to fight my way through some of the middle chapters, but I feel like I learned a lot. I really appreciated that Sapolsky paired the science in the first half with the second half of the book, which focused on the question of what the lack of free will means for society and our behavior. Humor is definitely present throughout, and I found myself chuckling at quite a few of the footnotes.
