Rat Queens Volume 1: Sass & Sorcery by Kurtis J. Wiebe
3.0
How you feel about this will depend on how invested you are in fantasy RPGs, like Dungeons & Dragons.
In fact, it reads like a goofy campaign that was certainly loads of fun for the players to play and reminence over...But doesn't matter to anyone else.
I guess there are "inverted tropes", but... *yawn* such a story technique is neither, on its own, creative or grabbing.
The bizarre humor does hit the mark enough times and this collection ends with a cliffhanger to bait you into believing that a more sinister plot is on the horizon.
