My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout

2.0

This is a short, introspective novel, beginning when Lucy is visited by her estranged mother during a prolonged hospital stay after having her appendix removed. It jumps around in time as Lucy reflects on various aspects of her life, such as her childhood in Illinois, career, and relationships. It's okay, though I didn't find it as profound or memorable as some seem to.
