Every Dead Thing by John Connolly

4.0

Make sure you have nothing important to do for the next 24 hours or so because once you start this book, you won't be able to put it down until the last page.

In appearance, the story is pretty straightforward but then you delve into rich settings, graphic depiction of violence, twisted plots and original characters that jump out of the book and keep you company for a long while.

I've seen the Charlie Parker series among the recommended books in the genre but until now, I've somehow resisted them. Well, I'm now thoroughly hooked and look forward to reading the rest of the books in this gripping series.
