The Tempest by William Shakespeare

4.0

Had a really interesting time reading this in one night - while I definitely can't absorb all the intricacies of Shakespeare's prose on the first read-through, I was really astonished most of all by how stunning and elemental the atmosphere that is created is here, it truly does feel like a dream-world. Most of all, I loved how every plot is essentially moving along the same lines of trajectory as each other, all governed and controlled by Prospero's power. I enjoy the parallels between Shakespeare himself and Prospero, begging to be freed by the audience themself in the epilogue - really powerful stuff.
