The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

5.0

This is the first fantasy novel that I’ve read in a while which truly held my interest. In fact, i couldn’t put it down. It was not derivative, which in all honesty, I expected it to be. It’s written in an extremely accessible way; intelligent with well-developed cultures, languages, and history, but without being pretentious, confusing, or convoluted. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read the others in the series.
