The Hardest Peace: Expecting Grace in the Midst of Life's Hard by Kara Tippetts

4.0

I don't agree with all of Kara Tippert's theology, but this wasn't a book of theology so much as sharing the grace that helped her find peace in the hardest time (as a young mother of four with terminal breast cancer). I loved her generosity with her story, and much of it will stay with me---I hope forever.

I loved the story of her marriage, her conscious effort to leave words that will provide comfort in the future, the bedtime ritual with her littles. Her honesty about her childhood, about her early steps in faith, about the hard. She has shared her beautiful hard story with the world, and I am in awe that she was able to write it while in the throws of that story.
