I liked but didn't love this mostly because I just couldn't seem to care for the MMC. His fucked up relationship with his BFF didn't help especially their sexual competitions. I felt like I reading about a bunch of frat boys. And don't get me started on his protective brother act and the put upon son. Of course Willow is special and he gets angry just thinking about 'sharing' her with Noah. That's how we are supposed to know she's different and 'special'. Except I didn't get the memo.
Willow is intriguing but enthralling and captivating? The writing didn't convince me of that. Add in the mystery with her dad felt like a kind of let down after all the angst (not to mention the insurance item near the end :- - sure ok - things get handled that easily)

This couple seemed to mostly connect through sex and honestly with his history of bang and leave not to mention double-teaming, I just can't see them lasting. She'll hit 35, start aging and he'll be looking elsewhere for a distraction. That is the problem with these manwhore books. I can't believe anyone can change that much when they are already in their thirties and still acting this way. And by the way - I much preferred Reid. I didn't find him creepy. I found him heartbroken, and confused as a man who couldn't believe his ex preferred this vapid, selfish, egoistical tool. Me either Reid. Me either. I can daydream he found a woman with better taste in men and who wasn't so wishy-washy.
