god bless alice oseman from pulling me out of a reading slump - I keep reading osemanverse books for Nick/Charlie crumbs and then end up genuinely liking the new characters lol. This reminded me a lot of Eliza and Her Monsters and I loved the Frances/Aled friendship - we don't get enough boy/girl friendships that don't end up in romance lol- and I was very pleased that Aled is canonically demisexual (he's like the first aspec character I've seen in a book lol)
