The author’s note reads: “I hope that you enjoyed this book and that it made you cry.” Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I absolutely sobbed my way through Part 6.
This Time Tomorrow is a story of love, loss, friendship, and finding yourself. It’s about what we would do if we only had more time and perspective. Main character Alice is about to turn 40, when she is magically transformed back to her 16th birthday. She needs to decide if she can make adjustments to her past, given what her future self knows.
I do love a good time travelling story. The way the time travel works in this is a unique twist. I really loved and related a lot to Alice. Despite being younger than her, I feel a lot of the same struggles she talks about- feeling like you’re running out of time, wanting to take your life in a completely new direction, watching your life pass you by. The other characters are equally charming and likable. Alice’s relationship with her father is so beautiful and special. I thought a few parts were a little bit slow, but it all comes together really nicely.
“Any story could be a comedy or a tragedy, depending on where you ended it. That was the magic, how the same story could be

told an infinite number of ways.“
Overall, it’s simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. Would absolutely recommend!
