A Spoonful of Murder by Robin Stevens

5.0

I'm running out of superlatives to describe these wonderful books. I can't imagine the amount of research that must have gone into writing a book set in 1930s Hong Kong. The detail is extraordinary, and it all feels so incredibly, touchably real - by the end of the book I felt absolutely at home in a city and an era that I had previously known nothing about. The crime is ingenious and I never saw the solution coming. And seeing Hazel blossom and come out from Daisy's shadow was so satisfying. I loved this.
