Wow. This was messed up, creepy, and seriously weird. I can see how people could be put off by the narrator being a 6 yr old girl but once you get into the book, it’s a pretty easy transition. 

I can honestly say that as a horror book reader few books truly creep me out but this one certainly did. I absolutely love Josh Malerman’s writing, it’s always out of the box and surprising, and this was no exception. 

This was 4 stars bc it did tend to drag at times but overall a very good book!
