In the Country of Others by Leïla Slimani

The pace is a bit slow and the story is often repetitive, which is a clever portrayal of the repetitive, slow nature of Mathilde’s new life, until of course, everything changes, and the book abruptly ends. Looking forward to the rest of the trilogy, especially after finding out it’s based on the story of the author’s grandma!
