It’s another sad one!!! This was always described to me as just a dystopian government type of story but TURNS OUT its a lot more than that and gets deep into the ideas of depression and how deeply it affects people’s general outlook on life and losing your sense of self by being stuck in a system that actively works against you and trying to find meaning in life somewhere through all of that intense oppression. Stunning and heartbreaking and gentle and cruel and lovingly written and beautiful
