Blood Dynasty by Nicholas Bella

Damn. I forgot how much I LOVED Sage and Adrian. There are so many layers to Sage and all the "baddies" in this series. I mean who doesn't love an anti-hero? I really enjoyed the brief glimpses we get in the head of the Vampire Salino. There is so much more to him than meets the eye. A lot is changing with Sage's transformation and hierarchy of things in the paranormal world. Adrian is still taking on PI cases, yet he's also got hands in Vampire and Mage politics which isn't exactly a good thing. Being the mate of a man like Sage definitely has its own set of issues too. More than once Adrian has to decide if he's doing something he can live with. He's the light to Sage's dark. They couldn't do the extraordinary things they can now without the other. It's like a checks and balances system. Unfortunately, by the end of book 2 that system is pretty out of whack. Magic always has a price, and I cannot tell whether or not the price paid is going to be worth it in the end.
