Was sceptical about this one as it's not my usual genre but it was a nice surprise.
The writing is quite beautiful: filled with nice metaphors and imagery and with lots of little details that make the scenes more vivid and real.
I was intrigued almost right away and throughout the story I was curious to know more as the mystery unfolded.
There was one thing that annoyed me though: most of the story revolves around the fact that everyone is keeping something from her and in some cases it's not clear the reason, except to create the situation for the story to unfold. In the end some of it is explained but I still think that some of the things they were keeping from her did not make sense.
I was still able to enjoy the story despite this issue and in the end I was satisfied with how it ended.
