This book is a mess and a half, no one seems to have any common sense and Sam, Jake’s son is always so self deprecating that doesn’t follow logic in any world. I don’t understand the slightly paranormal elements that’s are in this series, it’s so waffly, either commit to it or leave it out. The audiobook narrator is awful as well, the emotions she was conveying seemed the opposite of what the author had written, the killer was portrayed as a giggling boy and not menacing as the author intended, it definitely took away from the storytelling.
