Once upon a time, I had this book checked out from the library (before everyone went nutso over it and clogged up the holds list...) and I returned it without reading because I thought it sounded like a book about football and I don't like football. That is not incorrect. There is a lot of football in this book.
But that's okay, I just skimmed over a few paragraphs here and there. No worries. I liked Pat's voice a lot. It's easy to see why Mr. Quick is writing YA now - he's good with the closely-narrated, first-person voice. Now if only the holds list for the movie would unclog, I can watch that too...
