This is the perfect finale. Hades‘s Story hurt my heart and especially the first part of the book is nothing for the light-hearted.
I appreciate Tate giving a content warning in the very beginning. The emotional as well as physical abuse is graphic under the influence of several drugs causing severe hallucinations.

I love that apart from all of the stuff going on with Chase, there still are changes and progress in the relationship of Hades, Lucas, Zed and Cass. They are there for each other with trust, support and love but they also deal with some typical relationship struggles.
„Because a small part of me still thinks you’re going to choose. Eventually, you’ll only keep one of us... and it’ll be Zed. Because it’s always been Zed.“

I love the development in Hades‘s and Seph‘s relationship. They get their deserved Happy End and I couldn’t be more happy about the outcome of everything.
There still are some unanswered questions but looking forward to the next Shadow Grove series I have high hopes to get some answers.

„But that was the thing about appearances, you never really knew what was going on beneath the surface.“

„I had nothing to fear, not here, not with them. I’d never felt safer or more powerful.“

„Sometimes it's okay for the cracks to show. We don't judge you for it; we just want to be there to share the pain. To help put you back together again.“

„My turbulent soul was finally calm. Finally at peace. For the first time in my whole life, I was completely happy.“
