The Lonely Stories: 22 Celebrated Writers on the Joys & Struggles of Being Alone by Natalie Eve Garrett
5.0
I put this book on hold at the library in anticipation of the loneliness that would come from living alone for the first time. I read the bulk of while quarantining, alone.
I was surprised but perhaps shouldn’t be by home many of these stories were written by mothers — and thus on the loneliness of parenting as a women. That could be its own separate book.
But I quite enjoyed this. Some stories more than other of course but as a whole it was great. So many different lines of being alone, and yet - by the time I finished reading this I felt warm and full of love.
Definitely a book I’ll be purchasing.
