I started this book and it was very very slow to start. I was getting a little impatient when it started the get really good. Then it got really predictable and I was smirking while reading because I thought I had it all figured out. Then bam, everything changed.

Quite literally, an ending I did not expect. I'm intrigued and was wanting more. I wanted to know more about the "after" and was left with many unanswered questions. I was disappointed with how her marriage turned out, but I guess that adds to the ending. Very well written and articulated.

There were pieces that didn't line up - and some psychological facts that just weren't true. As many reviews had mentioned, the quote of how she maintained her PhD and then hoped to go back for her masters is just one part of the prose that was a major mistake. But all in all I did find the novel to be entertaining and a good read. Not my favorite, but still worth the read.
