This was so good! I knew I needed Matt and Lane's story after reading about them in the Next of Kin's epilogue. Matt was THE book boyfriend we all dream about. His love language is acts of service and he would literally do anything for Lane, including helping her renovate a school bus to live in. Yes, really! Lane is such a wonderful girl and woefully misunderstood. She feels responsible for her father's death and because of that, sometimes is impulsives, make a mess of her life and thinks she isn't worthy of love. Matt and Lane start off as just friends, but it's so clear that they have feelings from the very beginning, deciding instead to put their friendship first and not mess things up. I loved seeing Warren and Chloe again and our precious little Willow! How cute is she? I loved the family aspect of this, both Matt's huge, loving and close family, and Lane's strained relationship with her sister and complicated feelings towards her deceased father. Overall, I loved everything about this book and I cannot wait for more from this author. P.S. I hope we get a book for Liz!
