The Daydreamer by Ian McEwan

4.0

One of those books that waltzes into your life at exactly the right time. Something I was coming to terms with around the time I picked up this book was the loss of my childhood, the fact that I was an adult; this book reminded me what it was like to be a child, it transported me back. It is technically a children’s book, but I think this factor provided me with a welcome perspective. I’ve always loved Ian McEwan’s style.
