What We Find by Robyn Carr

3.0

I started this series with its fifth book: [bc:The Country Guesthouse|45991863|The Country Guesthouse (Sullivan's Crossing, #5)|Robyn Carr|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1569588440l/45991863._SY75_.jpg|70844596] which I really liked. I hadn't realized it was part of a series until I was practically in the middle of it. So, once I was finished with it, I decided to start at the beginning and, here we are.

I admit I didn't enjoy this one as much as [b:The Country Guesthouse|45991863|The Country Guesthouse (Sullivan's Crossing, #5)|Robyn Carr|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1569588440l/45991863._SY75_.jpg|70844596]. I guess that one really spoiled me. Perhaps I should have waited for a little while; properly digesting that one, read other books, before coming back to this series so as to have a fresh mind, open to another couple's story.

The narrator, Thérèse Plummer, did a great job and I had no problem picturing the story unfolding before me. Yet, I found myself less enchanted than in the previous novel. Nevertheless, Sullivan's Crossing holds plenty of interesting characters whose stories I would love to discover so, after detouring to other authors, I will surely come back to this series.
