I struggled to feel “hooked” by this book early on, but once I gave it more time, it grew on me. The writing itself was really good, so much so that I forgot I was reading a book rather than just absorbing a story. It was a very educational read for me, and I found Sean to be a very sympathetic, if complicated, protagonist.
