Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

5.0

This book was a completely unexpected treasure! It was not at all what I was looking for, but I really, really enjoyed it. It put me in the mind of the movie Big Fish (which I also love) in terms of the story-telling of the grandfathers and their fantastical childhood experiences. The characters were well-drawn, the plot is engrossing, the story is well-written, and the pacing is just right. I can't find anything to complain about, and so much to love. I can't wait to read the next in the series!
