Michael and Natasha: The Life and Love of Michael ll, the Last of the Romanov Tsars by Donald Crawford, Rosemary Crawford

informative sad slow-paced

4.5

A classic for those interested in late Imperial Russia and the end of the monarchy. The scholarship holds up and this is still the best biography out there in English for Michael, the little known last Czar of all the Russias.
Docked points because the narrator used accents every time there was a direct quote from a source, which was annoying.
