I’ve seen this YA Dystopian Romance around the internet for a while, and finally caved to give it a shot. Aaaaaaand it was actually a ton of fun! I don’t typically go for YA books much nowadays, but this book was a lot of fun and had highs and lows with emotions.

Spoilers!

Andrew and Jaime were a fun pair to follow in a surprisingly bleak world (for a YA novel).  I also appreciated that they didn’t wait until the last page to say the L word; it was refreshing to see that trope not used here like other LGBTQ+ YA Romances I have read in the past. While this book didn’t do anything necessarily revolutionary with its plot it was still a fun ride.

If you’re a fan of dystopian content like The Last of Us or Station Eleven, I think you’ll really enjoy this one. 🤓
