The Last Orphan by Gregg Hurwitz

3.0

I really wanted to love this, and it wasn't bad by any means, but it was definitely not my favorite in the series. It felt like more of a transition book than anything else, and maybe I misunderstood the concept from the description but it really wasn't what I expected? The "bad" guy wasn't as exciting as advertised, and while I liked the idea of Evan's arc in this book, I wasn't as big a fan of the execution. My highlights were Evan's interactions with Joey, and Candy's presence in this book. Waiting for the next instalment!
