Did not finish book. Stopped at 32%.

soooo uninterested in the white people’s POV chapters. i kept going because of the perspectives of the family members, but they kept getting interrupted by the side characters’ chapters that had so many superfluous details that i didn’t care for and made the plot too noisy. i don’t think some of the details contributed to making the story go forward. so it just felt like i was slugging through trying to get through it and i wasn’t enjoying it, so i put my foot down and DNF’d!
