The Night the Lights Went Out: A Memoir of Life After Brain Damage by Drew Magary
3.0
I would have given this book a 4 or 5 stars even, if it wasn't for all the chapters that were wasted in telling the story of his injury and his initial days in the hospital while unconscious from the perspective of EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN HIS LIFE, ALL OF THEM, even if they were saying the same thing. This format was weird, repetitive, and unnecessary. I would have given up reading there, if I wasn't a person who doesn't like leaving a book unfinished. Part 2 and 3 of the book were excellent. They were interesting, informative, and inspiring. The author was very honest and raw about everything that happened to him, physically, emotionally and mentally.
