The Female Man by Joanna Russ
Did not finish book. Stopped at 72%.
I found this book boring tbh. I understand the message is feminism and for it be wrote in 1975 by a female author is impressive I'll give it that.
However, the book does not have a plot or understandable story line. It's chaotic and confusing constantly jumping back and forth with no warning. You often find yourself reading chapters unsure about which character pov it's from. The dialogue is widely outdated and hard to follow. I honestly struggled so much through this book. Alot of the book content just feels like ranting with no direction or point to it.
The characters aren't enjoyable at all. Jeanine is annoying, Janet is a creep, and the other two don't even make sense. They are all uninteresting with no personality constantly repeating internal dialogue and no development.
I really tried to finish this to see if it got any better but I just can't do it. I skipped to the end to see if it at least had a good ending and it doesn't.
