What Happens Now? by Sophia Money-Coutts

4.0

This was a lovely, summer read. Would I read it again? Probably not.

The main protagonist, Lils, was relatable from the start and some of the things said in the book were laugh out loud funny. There were parts where the book was predictable (some good on-edge moments that kept you interested) and the storyline was good, but it did feel very ‘Ross and Rachel’ to me - very much a rinse and repeat kind of feeling - as well as being able to establish who the Monica was and who the Joey was in the book. It wasn’t ‘boring’ at all, but there was a sense of de ja vu. I didn’t get this feeling until the end of the book, so that isn’t such a bad thing!
