Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari
4.0
this was an interesting read. harari presents a brief history of homo sapiens by highlighting the most defining moments of our time. though i don’t necessarily agree with everything that was said (i.e. that agriculture is our biggest fraud), i can certainly appreciate that these events are explained in such a way that anyone can understand them. i also enjoyed reading his musings on human nature, money and our future on this planet. to me, those parts were most interesting, because i found much of the history-telling a little too general. if you’re well-read, i’m not sure you will gain a lot of knowledge from this book, but i think it’s really great for those who don’t generally read much about this topic.
