I'm truly struggling to understand why this book is as popular and as praised as it is.

I read this book for a friend, since she wanted someone to complain about it with. That's the only reason I finished it. I've never read a book so quickly just so I could get to the point where I wouldn't have to read it. 

Glad it's over.
