Masters of Death by Olivie Blake
3.0
This was A Hobbit's Guide to Adventure pick for November and honestly, I struggled to finish this one and I was totally vibing with the blurb. When I first started reading, it was via eBook. Still, I found I didn't want to push past more than a chapter a day and even then I was struggling to do that so I went and bought the Audiobook since my library didn't offer it and I didn't feel like putting in a request for them to carry it. It went a lot better, but I didn't fall in love with the story as I hoped. This was my first Olivi Blake book and I will try her others in the future.
The opening couple of chapters were great for me, but then there were just so many characters, and eventually, the book was going everywhere in my brain and I lost track of what was happening even after attempting to reread parts. I came out with the knowledge that there's a game and there is a lot of blame-throwing going on.
