Holy shitballs. I don't know what to say yet. What do you get when you have a Aussie soccer player, a lawyer and a goat? Yes, a goat! You get one of the most incredible stories ever. The first part of the story was funny and so crazy. I was laughing so hard. And then, well… I had my “what the heck is happening now” moment. I wasn't expecting what was happening at all. And that's what I liked about this book, it honestly surprised me - doesn't happen too often.
Aubrey is on a road trip from Chicago to California. All her stuff packed up in her Beemer, she quit her job and life back in Chicago for a fresh start. On a stop in Nebraska she meets the annoying Chase Bateman with Number 13 eyes.
Chance is on a road trip himself. When his Harley dies, he's in need of plan B to get to California. That's how he meets Aubrey and her sassy mouth. He's captured immediately and loves to mess with her.
Both of them have a great trip together and get to know each other pretty good. Aubrey loves animals, so when she almost hit a goat with her car, Chance and Aubrey have new company in their car. Did you know a goat can faint? Yeah, me neither.
Everything seems good until… it's not.
I don’t want to tell you any more about the story, cause I'd give too much away. And you need you own wtf moment, trust me. I was expecting a fun story but got so much more. The book captured my heart and goes straight to my all time favorites.
