I usually am not a nonfiction gal but Montejo did a great job at capturing real life events in an engaging way. It is a challenging book to read and while it is a quick read, I had to put it down sometimes because of how heavy it was. But definitely a great book to read if you are looking to learn more about Guatemala during their civil war and how indigenous communities were impacted.
