Honestly I’m really quite disappointed by this book. I was soooo excited to read it from all the hype it has gotten and for some reason I just couldn’t get into it. Maybe it’s Greek mythology or something? Again with all greek
mythology books it was confusing with name after name and I found it really difficult to follow. In all honestly I just wasn’t much a fan of the story the entirety of the war I just wasn’t very interested in. I like when Patroclus was becoming a medic to be fair that was cool. Just seeing Achilles deevelove as a character was really saddening and I wish he could’ve overcame his pride. The end didn’t have me crying which everyone said it would and I think it’s because I predicted it. As soon as I read “Achilles standing over hectors dead body with relief flushed through him” I could only assume there was one reason for that and I was correct. Oh and Achilles son is a horrible wee thing do not like that boy he didn’t want his dad to have any happiness in the afterlife and was horrible to woman ew. It was nice seeing Thetis and Patroclus bonding in the end tho and her allowing him and Achilles to be together forever in the underworld was beautiful to see.
