When I saw this book on goodreads I loved the synopsis and knew I had to read it. Unfortunately, it let me down quite a bit. First things first, this book had two major storylines to follow. The abusive husband and then the cryptid creature. Two storylines that needed their own spotlight but one got overshadowed by the other.
There was too much William and as interesting and complex as that storyline was I'm a horror girl and wanted more of the creature feature aspect. Also, I don't know if I missed it but I needed to know what happened to Heather. The ending was wayyyyyy to abrupt and left me wanting more.
Overall, it was an OK read but left a lot to be desired in my opinion.
