This book was really good at jumping straight into the action, and I really liked seeing the relationship between Rowan and the boys develop. Dean was obviously someone I didn’t want to trust, but knew he had certain opportunities, but the cost of which weren’t clear at first.
I love a good dystopian story have been raised on the giver and the hunger games, and I think the ship setting reminded me a lot of the 2012 movie and it’s not unreasonable to imagine that this could happen in the not too distant future. I think that it does a good job at misdirection with Lori, Sam, Luke, and it definitely kept me guessing!
