Absolutely deserves all the praise it has been given. We need more books that center the experiences of LGBTQ+ people, especially queer and trans people of color. An amazing read that explores the confusion that is our teen years and how love, art, education, identity, and being queer intersect.
The writing is beautiful and shows the truth of the struggle to love oneself in a real way. At points, it hit me a little too close to home, and I found it difficult to push through the blatant transphobia that Felix had to deal with. None of us should have to experience a hate act like that in our lives, but many of us do
